:O that's really great, wish I could see all frames of the animations, like you said, it plays blocky couse of the capture stuff.
Great game. I'm not found of angry birds(but I like worms!), but this looks really promising, and 3d!! congrats!

2cents...

_Fun, Casual and Simple
that is standard for indie+mobile I guess

Must have story and presentation
_I guess those are more for interactive fictions, adventures, etc type games. but if you can add something quick and skippable, it wont hurt.

Niche concept
_if you consider that target, can be, like for example Hit The Deck is quite directed to pinball/baseball fans, all ages.
Some games are quite for everyone, others don´t. They say sngry birds is for the whole family, I quite don´t like it and would never buy it.

_Brand definition
If your game has a main character, can be. Even puzzles. I dare understand that as your game DEFINES a brand, so you can do sequels. Any game defines a brand.

Social interaction
_ agree with Ian, i´m out too.

Marketing and exposure
_no money for that, have to rely on informal marketing, let´s say that too is also obvious other then a hint.

Do multi-platform games
_cashwise for sure, agree with Ian.

Re-design for tablets (or re-align)
_don´t, plan you game/assets to be scalable to your multiplatform from the very beguining. Don´t re-design as RE is time wasting stuff.

Would be nice to be there an chat considering all different opinions, even though whenever I attend animation fairs or the likes I end up pissed off with people in general :puke: hehe.

Thanks for sharing Mr Tatoad.

QuoteThe font was Babylon5

Our town/city just got a new armored vehicle (big news for a small city I guess), and the lettering font they used looks very familiar . . .

Really nice armored vehicle, does it run android too?

I don't believe people that pirate something would ever buy it if it was not possible to pirate in the first place.
I try to consider that 'informal' publicity.  ;)

If that really bothers, you can 'release' a pirated copy of your own game yourself right after the official release (or before as a leak!) with some sort of lock somewhere, like  Traveller's Tales did with LEANDER on the amiga.

That way you get publicity hype, 'leaked' version tends to gather more people into it.
Although it's supposed to be a full version, you can crap out the game in different ways so it ends up as a demo.

-unpassable level
-sudden extreme difficulty level
-etc

You may wanna try not to use a crash, as people may think the app is bugged in the first place, go for less tragic strategies.
You could also release some 3 differently crippled versions and pre-flood the pirate market.

At the end, whoever plays it enough and get bothered by that. will buy the game. :)

That's one well used LYNX!

It sure is, my brother bought it in 1992 while he was exchanging in the US.
Couple years ago I had to fix the electricity cord and buy a new plug, but that was all.
I wonder if this is a reason atari failed on this front, the portable still works perfectly to this day.(if I dare say portable)
The LCD is getting vertical bands, but nothing that stops you from playing.
It's my pet gear!

Sorry I should have posted this on ANNOUNCEMENTS.

Yesterday I finally managed to port GLBASIC to ATARI LYNX.
After months of hard work, now all compiles perfectly.

I will be releasing the sdk quite soon.

It is a great time for GLBASIC, specially now that APPLE and MICROSOFT recently merged their mobile plataform SDK to the atari's one.

Now we have no excuse to create the best games for the best gear!

PS:. I'm still having problems reading the START button, could someone help?
