Found this by accident :D
You can select the fonts you like into collections & download them as a zip at
http://www.google.com/fonts/ (http://www.google.com/fonts/)
Or you can download the entire collection (around 2.5GB & 651 fonts) using mercurial at
http://code.google.com/p/googlefontdirectory/ (http://code.google.com/p/googlefontdirectory/)
Instructions on how to download via mercurial is provided in the above link for Windows/Mac/Linux etc
Most have an open license but the download includes the relevant license in the zip file so you know where you stand with the font.

No problem Erico :)
BTW I just downloaded the entire collection & it was 1.3GB, no idea where Google got their 2.5GB from :D

Your local Mercurial repository is about 1.3GB, and then your working copy is about another 1.2GB, which adds up to 2.5GB
