Hallo Leute,

wie wärs mal mit einer neuen GLBasic Startseite? Die ist doch schon so alt wie Methusalem. Vielleicht mit einem netten Screenshot von einem Spiel/Demo vorne dran. Vielleicht farblich auch was ändern. Irgendwann muß halt mal renoviert und ausgemistet werden. 
Man kann ja paar Vorschläge machen. Schranz0r und Gernot werden dann schon die richtigen Tapeten und Farbtöne auswählen.  Ich weiß jeder hat auch viel andere Arbeit aber war nur mal so eine Idee.

Lustig, hatte ich bei Gernot im Chat auch erstmal wieder angeschnitten

Schaut man z.B auf die Unityseite und dann wieder hier, kommts einen doch schon recht Oldschool vor, was ja nicht das Produkt an sich wiederspiegelt!

GLbasic:
- Moderne Basicsprache
- Programmierbar für die neusten Geräte
- Ständig Updates und immer auf'm laufenden

Da passt die Homepage leider wirklich nicht zu...

Was ganz ganz wichtig ist und GLBasic von anderen abhebt:

Bis auf spezifische Plattformlizenzen ist bei GLBasic ALLES in einem Preis drin und ALLE Updates sind kostenlos!

Und ich weiß, es wäre viel Arbeit... Aber ein GLBasic-eigener Store für Assets etc. würde die Seite bzw. das Produkt auch pushen.
Und Tutorials für z.B. das EntitySystem ebenfalls, weil nunmal viele darauf abfahren, nicht selber 3D-kram selber berechnen zu müssen.

Letztendlich geht es ja doch darum, dass Gernot seine Villa finanzieren kann und dafür muss Umsatz gemacht werden.

Ich bin auch für eine Renovierung, aber laßt das Forum wie es ist...

Sonst können Schranzi & Gernot wieder anfangen alte Foreneinträge händisch einzupflegen, bis alles wieder so funktioniert, wie es soll

Yep, the forum is really nice! Main GLB home page could do with a visual upgrade me thinks

A bit  on the forum, I can´t seem to post youtube links anymore with the youtube button and if I try to translate pages on the google translator page, it comes out with a weird error stating my ip is busted. Translations work fine if done by google chrome (ye that top bar).

Most likely the rest of the world don´t like brazilian non-static IPs...my guess.

Mein erster schneller Entwurf in einer Stunde...
Ich bin mir durchaus bewusst das es nicht perfekt ist, ab2er es ist mal ne grobe richtung die ich mir vorstellen könnte!

Im Header die Menuleiste und der Footer wird durchgezogen egal welche Auflösung der Browser hat, der Rest ist zentriert.

Ist auf jeden Fall zu jetzt schon eine Verbesserung!

ein wenig heller gemacht, fand es nach mehrfachen angucken doch ein wenig zu dunkel!
Irgendwelche Vorschläge/Anregungen?

Für meinen Geschmack sind da zu viele Verläufe drin.
Kannst ma zeigen, wie das aussieht, wenn die Newsfenster ein einheitliches helles Grau haben?
Nur so, um mal den Unterschied zu sehen.

I like it.

I´m not sure about the top italic font (news/forum/etc) but they are ok.
Maybe instead of hot news, that could be a gallery/showcase? Like a slide show of the latest 5 games´s screenshot?

But I agree it is an improvement, and the lighter version is really nice!

What you guys think about a Tutorialsection at the frontpage?!

Do you want to write good and new (recent) tutorials? Dont link to old, outdated ones, like in the helpfile.

I thought the font could change, not the italic (my mistake , wrote without thinking)
But that is just an idea Schranzor, I´m not sure if it looks better.
It is best you follow your own art style/feeling so that things look well packed.

Tutorials would be nice, maybe some of the excellent snippets?
But I agree with Kanonet´s hint on not linking to the old-not updated ones.

Let me know how the new page idea fairs with Gernot, if it is something that will happen, I sure must update GLB´s logo
I have been thinking of updating it (specially the wrong shadows) for quite a long while...
