Heh heh, superb!   :D
Reminds of that burning building fireman game where you have to move the trampoline under residents that are jumping out escaping from the fire.  But in reverse.

"Embedding disabled by request" on that video, never heard of that one before.
But still nice rendering.
Can the 3D created with these programs be used in GLB?

Yeah, and better grab it quick before 4shared.com goes down as well, heh heh.

Not quite related to this discussion, but a very interesting article regarding indie game development ...

With wikipedia at least all they've done is add a css overlay to the screen, so I think if you're keen to see the content the view the source, or use a toolbar to remove the class.  Heh heh.

Yeah congratulations there!
Is the cat drinking tequila your prize?

Click it.
Ahhh, I didn't know that, I was going to posted the same thing.  It does seem to remain on the screen longer now, either that or my hard disk has sped up, which is highly doubtful.
Nothing like self-promotion I 'spose.   :D

For looping sounds (only), would this help at all?

http://www.glbasic.com/forum/index.php?topic=3917.0

As I also need to loop sounds, I'm going to have a go at implementing it tonight.

Okay fair enough.
For the moment I've got a work around, load the same wav file into four different IDs, keep an index of the last one played, which increases each time the sound is played.  And I might enhance it with the SOUNDPLAYING function.
Basically a manual version of what I suspect the buffer% function does internally, maybe.
But it'll be nice of the original problem can be looked into at some point.

I can't remember how to, or if it's possible with the standard built in font utility, but have you tried this one, as found on the DE forum, which has quite a few extra options, including transparency ...

And how does that help playing THE SAME SOUND using a different sound BUFFER?!    ::) ::)

Yeah I sort of agree with you, but I didn't think it was that bad and I thought it looked a lot better than it's main competitor's Atari ST desktop, which I think just used the off the shelf GEM desktop (or something).

Also it allowed Multitasking, which no other GUI could do that at the time.

Massive icons always made me laugh, you get some that are so large they would take up half or more of an 880k disk.
