Hi guys i thought about it and I am going to open up a DNS with hostgator.com.

I searched for cool names but they are all taken, (not surprised of course).

The following are some I thought of and are available, most begin with i because its for iPhones mostly.

Do you like any? will they be friendly with web crawlers etc?
If you don't like them I am going to have to go the hypen route and open something like xxx-xxxxx.com.

BTW: what do you guys think of hostgator ?

Thing is i am getting a big number of users even with my crap website and the most unfriednly url ever, I think its time to be professional with a site too.

The first, "iappisland.com" sounds good to me, simple and easy to remember. 

I've never used Hostgator before though, so I can't comment on them.

can´t you use an even simpler name?

Yes of course my friends but I have tried thousands already and its unbelievable that they are all purchased already.

Have a look in the logs on what your users are searching for when they end up on your homepage. This should give you some pointers of what your domain name should look like. Since you seem to mostly have games on your homepage it's a good idea to let the domain name reflect this. Gives you a little star in Google heaven :-)

Also keep your old page as it is if it's not too expencive. Just put a big note in the top somewhere that official page has moved <here> with a link, helps your users (and more importantly google) to find the new site fast.

Oh, and it's a domain name, not DNS. DNS is the server that takes care of domain name to IP-number translation. :-)

Thought I would be the only one liking it   I like the idea of island in it because it is easy to remember and it has the word 'app' in it too.

Was not to sure about the 'i' in front of it, but appisland is taken already

By the way how can I look for this log to trace what people are using to land in my site?

Im a newb when it comes to websites etc, so excuse my ignorance.

And finally don't you think that most users have landed on my website because of the link in my App?

FUED is wierd, but fast to remember.

An internal joke and it stands for Digital Erico FUndation...but in portuguese: FUndação Erico Digital (FUED)
I find it cool and I don´t have to explain exactly what the hell is that.
Domain is mine but no page yet have to finish first app)

Heck, we see so many wierd names all around I woulden´t care for games or apps if I were you.
mohjang for example? argh! but it is really cool!

I recommend going for a funky short name.
