GLBasic - en / Re: GLBasic Source Code

I totally understand. I think the HTML5 compiler was also released quite a while ago.

Thanks, do you know by chance where I can find it? I own the steam version but don't see the source code anywhere there.

Yes mainly dead this forum, Couple of people still use GLBasic. As people dont post anymore, so I'm not inspired to work on stuff myself.
The HTML5 was the bit that go me back, but it all fades away.

I believe that the source code is in the steam version, as it builds from it. Someone will have to correct me if I'm wrong.

GLBasic - en / GLBasic Source Code
Last post by Elias - 2026-Mar-03
Hi everyone,

I haven't programmed in GLBasic in a very long time, but was thinking about using it for a few hobby projects since I remember enjoying it a lot many many years ago. However, I'm a little worried as it doesn't seem to be in active development anymore. If I remember correctly, there is a special area in the forums where you could get access to the source code. Re-reading some old posts, you had to have 100 or more forum posts. Since the forums are quite inactive now, unfortunately, I think that's pretty much out of reach. Any way to get access to the source code. I'm unsure if I have the ability for that, but it would be great to have the option to try to port GLBasic to other platforms myself/ensure that it works with new SDK versions.

Thanks a lot in advance for any help!

Have a blessed and healthy year all of you. I fear this one might become a challenging one for many.

My advice for you:
If you're on the Titanic, get to a life-boat. Don't try fixing the leak.

Thank you for all your research Dreamerman.

What are your thoughts on using AI to create game assets?
For sprites and 3D models, it doesn't seem very suitable to me, but I could be wrong...

all well? anyway im dont been so much glbasic forum here recently. and im is personly doing a unity/next game with my online friend at Rusty Pixels.

Its some time ago im used glbasic as game. but im do still uses it for a small converter utiliy for converting from Next to Unity (copy a lot of stuff, decoration and so on). That why you still see me use glbasic on steam and my count counter..... hehe.

Now its seen there is a sequal from HOH on the rader. that game is not done by us, but from the Amiga developer of the original amiga port.
