Title: "Find it in the App Catalog" or "Available for WebOS" button
Post by: BdR on 2011-Nov-04
The "available on the app store button" banner is used on many websites. I also used it in my Lite app to link to the full version in the app store. So when I ported my games to Palm Pre, I was looking for a similar "Find it in the App Catalog" banner, but I could only find a low resolution one (http://www.google.nl/search?q=find+it+in+the+app+catalog&tbm=isch). So I recreated that banner ("reverse engineered" sort of) into a high resolution version and used that.

I thought I'd share it here :) see attachment for files.

While they look very nice, it's the HP App Catalog now not the Palm one.

And a way to link to a developer ie so you can see all your games (you can do it once using the catalog on an actual WebOS device). Have searched for ages with no luck...

Cheers

It's not possible. I asked HP directly about this. It does seem stupid (although we are talking about HO though), doesn't it?

Yeah really stupid. Plus considering on a WebOS device you can actually do it from within the catalog. So it's just a link (well on the TP it is)

Suppose will have to polish my ropey web skills...

Cheers

hm good point, I've made some changes to my banner. :) I like the blue one best, it's similar to this design (https://developer.palm.com/distribution/viewtopic.php?p=75123#p75123), except better resolution.

The blue one is defnintely the better of the two, but the are both pretty smart :)

Are we free to use these in our apps/on our sites?

Sure you can use these banners, that's why I posted them here. :D

I made some images for the "Available on X-Store" now. Not a great artist I am, but it serves my needs. You can use them for free.

Do you need bigger ones?
