Well that really sucks...  I have a Symbian OS smart phone, not the greatest OS in the world but it has done what I'd needed from it, and I was hoping to upgrade to WebOS eventually as I really don't like Android or iOS.  Problem is that those are likely to become pretty much the only mainstream OS's in the market now...  Well, I guess you can include the next Microsoft one as I believe that is what Nokia is switching to from Symbian, but that really doesn't interest me either.

Not just that but $99 for a tablet of that quality would be awesome. My pre2 is a brilliant test device for GLB off a windows PC, so I assume the TP would be too.

Unfortunately even though Amazon has drastically dropped the price of the TP it is still £279. What's that about 4 times the price after conversion? Rip off Britain again...  Then again I've heard of HP refunding the difference so lots of people are buying full price then getting the discount. Bit of a gamble though esp if they reject it as you bought after the news (hard to prove you knew about it though)

mine was on eBay (USA) and has about 70$ shipping fees. It's reduced a bit for 3 pads.
You can "suggest a price" and 180 was accepted instantly. I have the slight feeling 120 should have been my first guess.

Yeah I know. It's rubbish in the UK. The Amazon price has been going up since the weekend! Was down to £279, then £300, and now more like £315. Obviously no-one has got the message to get rid of them quick.

Then again if you have the balls then buy for £300 and email HP like mad about getting the difference paid back to you ($99 difference). Should work...
