Getting ready for Vista

so... it's about time to think of that.
The main problem is: GLBasic has it's "Projects" folder right in C:\program Files\GLBasic - where it will no longer have write access for the default user on Vista anymore.
Now, what can I do!?
Usually GLBasic should be usable from all accounts you have, thus the (sample)projects should be stored in C:\users\All Users\Documents\GLBasic\Samples (maybe?)
The individual projects should go to C:\users\\My Documents\GLBasic\ (maybe?)

What should I do? What way do you want it? Because it will affect the XP version as well in the same way.

Well, I don't install programms on the C partition so it doesn't matter for me. But please don't store the projects in the users directory. I hate it to have such data on my C partition. I don't think it's bad that the default user doesn't has write access on the program files directory. But you could think about installing GLBasic just in C:\GLBasic\ per default.

"C:\users\\My Documents\GLBasic\" suits me, as it would stop my kids from getting direct access to my stuff.

I'm against Root installation cause its sooo... Windows 3.1 :p hehe

Someone told me to store the projects in program files and at first start ask the user where to place "My Documents". Then all the projects are being copied there and from now on the user-folder is used.

"C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Desktop\GLBasic" That's where all my created projects are saved. Others may not wish for it to be here.
I would recommend having it save to "C:\Documents and Settings\\My Documents\GLBasic" for Vista users.

As long as Vista does not become a requirement of GLBasic, I'll stay happy :)

I think it will let you choose where you want to install it!?
