I had a celebratory play on Jet Pac. :)

I tried setting up my Spectrum but couldn't get it to tune into the TV so had to make do with an emulator.

Happy birthday, my first computing love.   :nw:

My beloved daughter is 7 today and my beloved (mint condition) speccy is 30 today :) How geek am I timing the conception and ultimately the birth of my daughter to coincide with the Speccy's birthday :D

I've been married 19 years today. My wife's cat was 13 today too.

So congratulations and celebrations all round :)
I came. I saw. I played.

I've never seen a speccy in real life :(
Happy birthday, though! 8bit was definitely the best time in computer history.

@Ian 19 years of marriage? Did you marry with 15? ;) Congrats! You're starting to lift the overall average marriage time, now.

I too really enjoyed the 8bit era - everything was so fresh and new. Games pushed the envelopes in so many varied ways and just when you thought you'd seen/heard it all something even better came along to impress you all the more. However, I wouldn't willingly return to those days (other than through emulation). Waiting 10+ minutes for a game to load was bad enough at the time - nowadays it would be torture!

Besides, I enjoy coding in GLBasic noways - more so than playing games at times. :)
