Post by: mentalthink on 2013-Oct-26

I updated my Mac mini to Mavericks - only after competing did it inform me that Parallels was no longer supported. FFS. Not that I use my Mac much (or even Parallels and Windows on it), but I paid for both and never expected them to not continue to operate after this upgrade - I've seen no warnings of this.

I also hate the background screen; hopefully there's a better alternative available from stock or I'll have to search for one. Other than that, I really can't comment on Mavericks :P

Paralalles it's someting extrange Ian, I'm using the version 8, but this says don't works in Mavericks and Windows 8.1 don't works too.. well for me are working both  :D :D :D

But really works fine...
Well parallels you can leave and put Virtual Box, always it's free and the people says works very faster, I'm more affordable with Paralells because have support for DirectX, and runs very very well... (and can mix desktops  :) )

I'm aware of Virtual Box and BootCamp, but I've read that they weren't as fast or reliable as Parallels. It's not a big deal, but if I'd known I might have thought twice about updating, especially since i rarely use the machine.
