Hi Kitty,
thanks for your fast reply =)

I did a couple of test, but a part for a missing file, it somewhere it must be ;)
I get this error from the demo file i downloaded from the site:

> Command /Developer/Platforms/iPhoneSimulator.platform/Developer/usr/bin/clang failed with exit code 1

Could this depend from the fact that i have only the iPhone  v.5.0 simulator

I'm not sure what are the certificate you are telling about.
I haven't actually any developer account as i need to "learn to crawl before I learn to walk".
But i supposed i could do some develop test on my phone and using the xCode IDE.

Maybe I'm wrong (?).

Hi there,

I have a question.
I'm at my first attempt to create an xCode application.
I downloaded the sample "iTouchMouse" from the forum, but it looks like i cannot do anything.

Is there any basic instruction i can have access to learn something about iOs development?

hi Schranz0r,

sounds nice that glb has it's own fast lib, but i could not find any sample of mirrorin/water or many other features that fastlibs has.

thanks for your suggestion!
Drag and drop from a system to another sounds great, copy and paste looks like a nice options too, really usefull most of all if I'm using something like a rdp on 2 computers over a lan or internet.
BTW, when I have a work-folder shared on the same machine, among 2 OSs running, it's faster, and this would avoid also to have different version of the same file (and a SVN is always a great  friend :D).
Btw, i'll give a try to Parallels to see if i feel it comfortable.
Here is a question about it =) does anyone know if i can run the guest-os at full-resolution fullscreen without the "mac features" to pain my work?

Ian, i have seen Parallels, so far it's not a freewere (while virtualbox it is) so i'm not sure i'll think of it for a while having in my mind to buy a new macbook, but thanks indeed for your replay =)

Hi there,
I have been looking around to get some info about mac and virtual box, but it looks like i'm not getting anywhere.
I'm going to say goodbye to my old pc, and i'm planning to buy a Mac. Probably it's a mad choice, but it's quite cool a mac-laptop.
My question is about VirtualBox within win xppro, where i'd like to run GLBasic in a shell.
Had anyone succeded in this?
Does anyone think it could be done?
Should i better consider bootcamp instead of a virtualbox with windows xppro on it?

But i wander, is there nothing running 3d phisic?
Do you think it's possible to improve/access the bullet-physics (http://bulletphysics.org/wordpress/). Not that i'm sure it can run on iOS, but could it be an alternative ot is it a waist of time?

I was reading around about the newton lib. As I'm planning to include it in a iphone develop.
Is the library distributed in the source code usable in the xcode as a lib, .h or dll?
Is there any sample project to study?

thanks for you reply. As i know, it's so hard do develop and expand a stable release of a project/product, then i wish not to have been annoing anyone  ;P

a.- In a simple case of Server/Client:
i run a server instance, i test it line by line, to the read/send message to the client. By doing a step by step debug on both the app i can see where i'm getting (usualy i go wrong so many time :D), and then the clients (2 clients) relpy to the server and... probably i'll have a better experience using 2 virtual machines - sounds a better solutions :D

b/d.- i didn't see it... my shame, sorry ;) (but can i arrange some windows verticaly?) nowaday laptops monitor are wider then taller...=(

c.- it could be usefull, but it's not a must.

e.- the ShoeBox  - that i still do not know what to use it for... :( - and the setup: pack & go. Both the app dosen't include a direct help as the 3dconverter.

f.- it's not doing a lot... the debug is still there after i type F12. (not completly true) it's working no my dell laptop, it's not on my HP

g.- i use it alot. But I would feel more comfortable with a 1 tab support.

h.- as a beginner, i'd love that, but i manage for me as i have seen it's not a must for anyone.

I include a Zip file with some picts of the points i have mentioned, so please, do not mind too much to my english :D

ps: most picts are from IDEal, a freeware ide for blitz3d. Virtually it could be used with any compilre, but... need more test to know how it's going to be.

Cheers everyone,

far from the idea to create problems or generating confusion, I'd like to offer my opinion about some weakness of GLB.
I'm wandering if glbasic-ide will update a bit in time it's IDE.
I have arrived at glb less then one year ago, but still I cannot make out of its ide a friendly editor.

Here are some features that I think should be really considered in a modern IDE.
For sure, i do not want anyone to develop anything out of their comfortable daily experience, but working with different tools and ide, i feel like missing many chances....  :(

a.- One ide that open more than a project at time and run and test different apps at the same time (for istance: client and server)
b.- Display in parrallel different docs/script (see pict) include the help pages
c.- line numbered
d.- inline code complete (with on/off checkbox in preference - #develop, eclipse, ms visualstudio...)
e.- a complete translation of the deutsche lables, somewhere missing (sorry, i do not manage too much english, guess deutsche....)
f.- the output/search box could be closed during the coding process and opened during the debug?
g.- (and this involve me for sure, and everyone who care) each documentation (help/F1) page could be an html local + an open space for developer to post scripts, suggestion, problemsolving and so on... a more collaborative section? Maybe within an interface page (as  a snapin?) - with a link like "see updates online"
h.- how hard would be to offer the chance to have each project starting including in the media folder some basic shapes as a plane/rect, a shere and a cube?

Please, forgive my bad english and my ide/gui wishes for a better glb...

What about Linux PPC based system?

I didn't know about PPC integration in GLB.
I just resurrected my old MiniMac g4, with both OSX x.4 and Debian.
I will survive without osx, but i'd love to test PPC-Linux based and GLB dev (as linux could be a great server as well with a basic lamp setup).

Hi Kitty,

I did some testing using the Alphamode in different values/position, and I haven't arrived at anything usefull.
As I have written above, it looks like using X_DrawObj (calling each frame) it works fine, while with X_DrawAnim it is not.
My theory (just) is that there is a kind of appostimation value in the calc of the triangles when X_DrawAmin is calculating the difference among tow different position of the shape (if it works like this!!!).

I created a very easy scene, added toon render enabled shadow.
While running the code:
