Title: Finally started a new game: PowerUp Elevation.

Since Lobo suddently jims in and want to do some graphics for the game (first time that happens), then im have went back to a project im scrapped for some years ago (hence the source code for the prototype is currectly removed). Its a fun game to get back too. Later its can being a Spectrum Next game? We let see. A version to C64 could been fun too. But for now its a Windows game :-). Im have currectly no plans to release the game to mobile platforms.

Yes, the graphics have been in much better since that. Currectly im have graphics for 5 Worlds.

yes its about 2-3 years ago. Its the same game. Im do have changed its quite a lots since im got those graphics from Lobo.

Yes,  but All graphics is now draw by Lobo, so they changed to been birds: -). That gave me possible to return to the game.

It sure has the art style Lobo is advancing! Looks pretty neat! How far into gameplay do you have it going?

4 Worlds finished, only requiire eventuelly tweeks. The 5 one is half finished.

The only enemies here is those elevators (as well spikes).

Im guess Its Will take about a month to get it's finished.

Recently the bird on the menu so now blinks it's eye.

Here a screen from the menu (and yes, the chicken eyes is "random" animated on the chicken top menu). Neat.

Currectly im have 5 Worlds done with each 8 levels (+1 practice one), and is gonna to do some left/right moving elevators in World 6.....

And also, this game will property being a Steam exclusive game. Im have no plans to do mobile version of it....

Funny,. Somehow also I thinking about changing now away from Android. But in my case it's because I now see behind marketing. So I'ts nearly impossible as an unknown "real independent" developer to get anything. It's so many fakery behind the scene  :(

im have no access to a Mac (nor vmware), and Android Studio is soon required to been done for Android.... Some annoying move and much more time waste really. So no, im have currectly no plan to do that, and not sure im will do that in time in the summer?

Howover Amazon's Fire tables versions is still fully been possible to do. Even the newest 2017 Fire Tables still only use Android 5, which is perfectly.

So the game could been do to Steam and Fire exclusive this time.

Steinbock, yes I agree its harder to be seen on mobile these days - but I see little games by small houses getting hundreds of thousands of downloads - without marketing, but yeah, big guys are swiping up the majority. But there are still Flappybird-like success stories every week.

Android and Playstore is still a great platform for mass downloads, its a bummer that Google is forcing this.

personally im will and want to help to release it to steam, where of course the Windows version is the most important platform as well Linux (etc to get it work on SteamOS as well). Rest can come.

Im did newer really got some success on Android by my self.

YOu can still release it for example on Amazon Fire or other fork of Android. But on Google Play, Android Studio is forced. This due that SDK Manager is no longer working standalone, which is pure crap. But this is something im first will looking on after release of this game.

The game can easy to been added to have mouse support, if the game should come to Android and iOS. Gamepad is allready in, and even play nice with a old one button Commodore 64 joystick, which is fun to play.

THere is come a tune to the game.

Yes, the purple border color might change, but there will been border in, when played on a screen that is not 16:9, example on a 16:10. The native resolution ingame is 1280x720, and this time used a virtual screen, but with not with any graphics. Some does not use it (etc font can been displayed on the border instead on in ingame area).

Im saw some pictures from the event. yep and improvede and fixed the music for Warhawk as well from the Atari 800 original (missing some parts from the C64 original, today im could have do my complete own version if im wish, now im have quite more experience with Vortex today). Boss music etc is also from me too.

Baggers in space was originally a little demo for me for a different game, but now turns to been a full release. Currectly im have about 5 ingame tunes for the game. All Single AY (only main title can use dual AY).

The game would been a Steam Exclusive game with possible a day port to Amazon Fire. Im do have no plans to do either iOS or regular Android version.

hehe yes, levels after that got a big use of the VVVVVV style gravity. You do need to get that item first in each level......

im was just used the Xbox gamehub recorder software, built into Windows 10. its does howover run 30fps rather than 60fps, but did not do frameskips throught. Im was also played it in a window, using the game native resolution.

When first configurated (not sure what happens if not), then you can press Windows-G to bring it up.

Looks nice and hope that it will make some $$ for You.
In such platformer movement/controls must be perfect smooth, and don't get me wrong here, I just noticed that in previous Your games on Steam most bad reviews were due problems with player movement so hope that this all will be fine, as this may scare off potential customers.
Look into eyes of that little cute chicken :D
