Tested on low-end tablet. Generally it's working smoothly, only pause button needs to tap longer than game itself.
Online highscores are working? As I played until level 6 and got >8000 points but I'm not on top list :p
Store indicates that app contains in-app advertising but didn't see any advert (whole time on wifi).
It would be best in some retro game pack or with additional maps, power-ups or something like that :-)

Thanks Dreamerman!

I did see advert when I tested, but it could be intermittant or could be not ad was available to collect and show ?

Yes, I could offer extras as an in-app purchase :)

:)

Took a while.
Tried it with a few kids (~8 years old).

We all found the controls a bit hard to master.
They are not bad, but a bit strange straight away, it felt it takes a little over too much to master.

Personally, the way you implemented the auto fire is perfect! It is just that there is something weird about touch-dragging and the player being a bit above, like you are always touching nothing, hard to explain ... like those bright spots that pops up inside the eyes every now and then and you canĀ“t look straight at them :D .

Cheers.

edit: drunk fix

Thanks Erico!

I was aiming to keep the player character in view for the player by having the character appear above finger position.
Otherwise I would prob get people  saying they cant see player.

It should only be a little (small) offset.

So far the game is doing well in new arcade in a number of countries and #96 in US. :)
Got featured in Arcade sections in a number of countries.

:)

Ps: Get your Burger Time game up on playstore too - Its looks like a 'hit' to me! :)

BTW - Do you like my centiplede feature artwork? I think my art style is slowing getting better... :)

Yes, I like it, you are sure getting better and developing a style on your own.
The main image reminds me of the atari 2600 cartridges illustrations. VERY retro!

Thanks! I kind of went for that and/or comic book appeal :)

I am now signed up as a Partner on Steam - Now need to think about a Project!!

Property you can add a setting to allow setting how high the ship should been put from the finger, so they can adjust it. mightbeen in both x and y.

I guess the controls are fine as far as touch goes.
It is really hard to convey a control scheme for touch devices that works with action games.

It is either the drag, the virtual pad or something very uncommon.

Steam partner? That has nothing to do with the 100$ per game right?

its cost 100$ per game yes. but im donne they want ripoff of classic arcade games? But howover its could been a collection of it mightbeen from other games as seen in example "Arcade Classics" for C64.

Yes, its just the Steam Direct -  I would need to do an original title - I have some ideas in mind.

I'm considering a strategy game - something completely different or an original arcade-y type game

"Original" is a hard stuff to pull, my own burguer game is not original, even with 3 players and cascading levels plus what not.
And Burguertime itself is just a pacman with a few twists...
That strategy zx scpectrum game you remade, Vikings, has a great potential to become what you may be looking forward, just my opinion. :good:

spacefractal has nice idea, this would be nice setting for phones, as I think that game plays better on tablet (larger screen) as finger doesn't cover game objects in such a degree. Btw. nice to see that the game has >10k install base, does it translates in some way to other your projects and ad clicks?

Its doing well on ad clicks.

A lot of downloads outside of playstore it seems too and a lot of players playing on PC's running android OS.

That is new to me, I would not think people would be playing it on the likes of a pc.
Are those numbers that big?

I think so, people using emulators and Android boots to play the longer Android games....then they just start using for smaller arcade games too. Some titles can be played in Chrome too.

I had a review for centiplode saying their tablet ran slow but they would play it on their PC instead.
Plus a lot of score entries are blank - I thought that was due to PC players and the virtual keyboard not loading.
