GLBasic plus Qt

Kitty Hello

I have a vision.
If we make a program in Qt/Qt designer that just calls "system("glbstub")", spawns a thread and listens on a tcp/ip port, we could make an API that uses GLBasic to interact with the Qt gui but programm it all in GLBasic. The thing is, we can make any widgets cross platform and it will just run.
I would try to keep the syntax exactly to what ddui has, so it would be easy to port existing stuff. Maybe not. I have no idea.

Thing is, we would have native looking gui then for win, mac, linux.

Will QT work in a WIZ though ?

Kitty Hello

Nah. Just the big ones. Win32, Mac, Linux. It *might* work on CE, but I'm uncertain.
Thing is, it has lots of real nice widgets and the native look... For those who don't like DDgui (sniff, sigh)

The widget has the data. There must be get/set functions for that then.

Unfortunately QT will not be a good alternative for iPhone/iPad for now.
That due to Apples IDIOTIC  :puke: policy about static linking.
