Quoteto be honest, I think that a black perimeter removes a lot of the 3D perception, it really 'flattens' the image.
I like it best without the accented outline.

I think that proves that you can't please everyone all the time :P

That's right -  ;)

I agree, but it dosen't flatten it 100%. The black outline keeps everything tied.

Hello Marmor,

did it work out? Was it any good? need anything else?
Maybe I should send textures more easily spoted?

or maybe a full scene + obj on a more straight stuff?
Let me know! thanks ahead.

have the logo in several resolutions:

6000x4000 (can print in your wall... =D)
1280x853
512x341

it's in PNG + alpha for the shadow.
No text, just the cubes.

Let me know if it's ok or usefull.
Should it be in higher resolution? square cut? change anything?

Gernot, send me an email to ericomont at googlething
if you thing anything should change,or have any idea about.

PS... it seems the forum can only hold files to ~6mb, so here goes the 2 smaller ones, the higher one has to be emailed or I can post a sendspace link, what do you prefer?

PS2... Matchy, did the things 3d I sent you worked out? was that what you needed?

Gernot also said in another post that ziping the file before transferring to MAC keep the flags intact.
It works great for me.

Copying the app folder by card or wireless runs into the flag problem, I didn't try Ampos solution to reset it.
Ziping the folder on PC and then copying it over to the MAC worked PERFECTLY.

Thanks for the help!

I would like to understand the process of compiling to mac and to iphone/pad.
I guess I should start with the MAC desktop as I plan to have my apps going for that too.

I'm running GLBASIC school version.

I'm testing a simple glbasic example, one without any medias.
I set the project to OS-x uni. (although when I reopen the project it is back on win32)
Build multi plataform OS-x uni.

All goes ok, it creates a TEST.app folder which I copy to MAC desktop.
From that point on I can do anything with it...

Could some soul point me into the correct path? any links I should read?

Nice code matchy,

by what I read in your routine, object will "slide" if it hits the border, let's say, diagonally.
Quite nice, I once struggled to come up with a solution for this...
...It was an app to display architectural interiors in 3d and I wanted to calculate collisions on a top downs black and white screen instead of inside 3d. This would have come veeery handy.

great!

if it runs all gba stuff than that is the deal!
battery wise someone in china will come up with a solution, I also believe nintendo will do too, just a matter of time.

I remember lynx could run on AA batteries (6 :puke)  for aaaalmooost 2 hours...
quite absurd as games like xenophobe can easily take more than that in a speed run...

anyway, wish you good times with the handheld, I might get one myself later on if my gold coins permit...

Like I said before I still have a running atary linx, but the first handheld I got was an octopuss mini-game...
check this out:

I tried the DS at a store too, running some mario-lemmings kind of stuff, wasn't quite impressed at it.
The controls though were excellent and smooth.

I guess it will all depend on the software that gets into it after all the rush.
I like the collection available on GBA, lots of great titles.
I also enjoy snk capcon card fighter on the neo geo pocket...

If someone writes a post with hardware specific code it might be better just to make sure the topic title is very clear so that it can be found in SEARCH (I know it's not great, but it's not rubbish either).

I think this is great.
I remember sometime ago searching the forum for something I knew was there but could not get to it quickly. at the time I thought it would be quicker to ask again on a new post...

Topics made in a methodological way, clear and following a specific structure could make it easier, but then it also makes the experience a little boring...and takes out the thrills of forum hunt! :P

2d can perfectly be scary. haunted house on atari 2600 was a little.
Something not terror themed can be scary too, let's say POWDER the rogue like is quite scary too.

There was recently also a game , 2d platformer, where you wander around a house opening doors and burning monsters with a flashlight. It is indie and free, can't remember the name.

You can also separate the 'scary' into a more specific emotion, some games can scare you by surprise, others can mount tension and so on.

I really miss the arcade boom of the 80's sometimes, even if I did burn through a lot of 20c pieces during that decade. :)

me too, the excitement of stepping into an arcade and checking new machines released was great.
Now, even here in sao paulo, which is a big cities, arcades are rarely seen...
There was this ancient arcade (Lords) close by that closed it's doors couple months ago, quite sad,
they even had a RYGAR machine in there...

edit:.. just stumbled into this:
