Smilies is a quite nice selling game on the iPhone. I know Mike for quite some time now, and the game is really great.
But take a look at the sales for windows phone 7.

I don't think it's worth playing with WP7 anymore, because noone will mention it next year if there are no surprising changes.

Neither WebOS or iOS are sending truckloads of money my way (or any, really). And I doubt I'll be using Android any time soon.

It's all good fun though. :)
I came. I saw. I played.

B'lox didn't sell?
What a shame :(

I've sold 132 units on iOS (according to App Annie) - https://www.appannie.com/419238899/sales/#view=units and 48 on WeOS. A total of 180.

I need to get the free version of B'lox! onto the AppStore, so hopefully that'll push it a little. I'll also put Mined Out! on iOS - I really don't expect anything from that though.

You should.
It´s a kind of game there are a lot of addicts around the world, similar to solitaire... you can blame windows for it.

On WP7, yeah, I guess it is too early. Good thing the author has it on other platforms...

W7 is very new, and is in a crowded market.

I'd still push for WP7. Since it's a relatively new platform it's going to take some time. With Nokia going WP7, that's going to help expand the market place.
One thing I need to ask, how much do you guys market your games? Do you just throw it out there and hope it sells? Word of mouth does wonders, you may consider promoting your game around town, maybe hit bar/pub and give out promo codes.
If you don't tell people about your product they may not know to go get it. Family members may be of use as well but don't count too much on it.
Promote, promote promote.

I pushed B'lox! on every forum I know, including iOS forums. I sent promo codes to every review site I found and placed info about it on my FaceBook and Friends Reunited pages. The only thing I haven't done is put out an iOS Lite version, but that's due to my limited free time at the moment. I did for WebOS though and it appears to have brought in some extra sales, but not many.

How? When? Where?
[/quote]

Anything you can think of, where people gather, where people are most likely to see your game. If it costs money to make money, I'm doing it. Don't count me as being brash, I realize you've probably have done somethings to promote. All I'm trying to do is generate motivation. When I see people saying, I can't... I want to say to them, Yes you can. There are no can'ts, there is only YES YOU CAN!!

It does seem early days and I'd like to imagine a flood of cheap and coolly designed Nokia phones like in the 90s but now with W7.  :P
