It looks like running OSX on a VM and projected the desktop via VNC or something, is it really legal if you don't own a real Mac?

It's strange as Intel is actually pushing the Mobile x86 CPUs, but WP8 use RT(ARM) structure, as MS once used to say hope to integrate EVERYTHING into one platform (probably Win10), WP8 may be obsolete soon..

I can translate to Chines and Japanese, if you have the interest I may be able to bind FreeType and partial UTF8 Rendering on Win32 and Linux, due to my limited platforms, but I think it's a good addon for GLB.

Gernot once said about possibility migrating to SDL2 backbone, but I think it's a huge task and I'm willing to pay again if it happens....

Godot Engine and Compilgames GameDevelop works better, and both are free...

There're some possible solution like:

1.Wrap existing HTML5 apps into Intel XDK (with some dev tool without coding)
2.HAXE
3.Monkey

If they have something more advanced, I'll buy one...

Hi,

I'm looking for a simpler way to use CJK/Unicode fonts in my game, but  after lookingh at the Hangul example, I found it's not that easy, for example, the Japanese character contains kana and kanji, which is thousands of words than just a few symbol of Hangul, or Chinese contains even more characters.

As I know some system are Unicode based now like Mac/Linux/Android, however GLBasic uses Ansi character, is there any way to do this?

Paid solution is OK, but i can't find one yet.

If it comes with a SSD it should be more handy, not bad though.

If you got problem, you can report to the developer, they're glad to fix this.

I'm planning to purchase the Protector later as it's also compitible with PureBasic/BlitzBasic etc.

!! This is freeware, you don't have to pay any $$ unless you want buy their protector (protect, anti-crack, online-activation) !!

From the developer site:
QuoteApplication virtualization system for Windows. Enigma Virtual Box enables application files and registry to be consolidated in a single executable file, without loss of efficiency and without virtualized files having to be extracted to the HDD. Enigma Virtual Box is a free application that supports both x86 and x64 binaries.

Website:
http://enigmaprotector.com/en/aboutvb.html

It can do more like:
1. Compress resource to reduce file size.
2. Can use seperate packs as expansion/upgrade etc.
3. Register COM or media filter without installation.

A few warning though:
1. Slightly reduce file seeking speed with many(1000+) files.
2. Streaming(if you use any music/video) doesn't work, but you can put the media along with exes.
3. It's not meant for protection, just packing
4. It's a packer, some nervous anti-virus will have false positive(rare case, and you can report if it really happens).
5. Win32 only(obviously...).

Notice
Before Engima VirtualBox 6.90, it doesn't work with GLBasic, so I sent the examples to them and they published
a new version that work with GLBasic, this tool should be easy enough to use, if you got some incompatibilities,
please report to the developer.

Hi,

I have a 256GB SSD , the system partition is 100GB, in common sense, GLB isn't that big compared to the disk size, but reducing files count makes sense on SSD.

If I want to just "store" things , I have a 2TBx8 RAID array which is currently pertty enough for many things...

I'm a happy registered user since GLB V8 and now the V11 is coming, however for such a long time there're some question I want to know, so I type it down....

1. What's the backbone API of GLB? It seems Android port uses SDL, but Win32 port isn't (for example, audio format support etc).

2. How do I remove unused platfrom compiler to save spaces? (What folder/file to remove etc). Will it cause update error.
#43
Yes, that's the point. There're many good alternatives and they're also very powerful if you take time learning them well.

How does the GameStick feel on th hand? Is the button sensitive or clunky? I do consider buying one but it's not available in my country yet.

I'm neither an artist or photographer, but I still think Adobe products are all bloatwares.....
