I wondered what was up. I am using play for mac (Wine) and the build multiplatform bit in glbasic always gives a removed depracated x86 or whatever you have chosen. Thought I finally had the answer to no mac ide.

Is this finished and posted somewhere?

I resorted to reinstalling and updating glbasic and that seems to have fixed it.

Thanks

I tried to compile for osx and each time it gets to compiling + lining and never goes further. No issue compiling for windows or anything else so far.

Perfect. I don't foresee any real issues with our glbasic games either. Just wanted to check.

Thank you

Any known issues running current glbasic apps on ipad 3? I'm asking as other apps we have developed using Corona don't display correctly apparently. I doubt the glbasic apps will have any issues to be honest but its worth knowing and I don't have the benefit of owning an ipad3.

I agree most of them are sheep. However we as developers would not dream of feeding real world sheep the kinds of foods we like. Instead we feed them grass and pellets as its whats best for them and what they want.

The same applies to customers. You give them what THEY want not what we want. That's how you build a business.

Game center may suck but needed in this day and age as is the ability for in app purchases and anything else that keeps us from competing fully and properly in the ios market. Customers like features, features sell. In the current market place these kind of things are no longer a nice to have but a necessity to fully compete with others out there.

By the way open the game center app and choose the friends tab to add friends.

It usually is not as long for a resubmit. You don't lose your place in the que.

Whats the app?

Hatonastick, Don't worry, it was a personal query. That's the only reason I never posted it on the forums. Wanted to speak to Gernot direct.

No problem Gernot. Your reply has put my fears to rest for a bit.

Thanks

It was sent through your web page submission thing... How else can I send it?

I tried to pm it but it seems I cant. Tried a second time to pm and once again nothing seemed to happen. So any ideas how else I could get the message to you without having to post a public message.

I sent an email a few days ago and have not heard back. Not sure if my anti spam thing got rid of the reply.

By the looks of it, accessing iPhone internal stuff is quite easy :)

This may be true if you are already a proficient c coder but for the rest of us who read the first page marketing detail stating that you needed no c knowledge yet advertising iphone/ipod touch etc support, would it not be correct to expect exactly that. No need to ever use c or c++ or anything like that because its already there....

Personally if the iphone/ipod touch is not fully supported without having to go down the route of figuring out how to create your own c++ bits and pieces (as there is NO full explanation anywhere that shows the steps required to actually get a feature not supported directly using inline or whatever.)

In other words is there a full tutorial that explains what I would need to do in xcode to make use of an internal iphone feature or function and how I can implement or call that feature within glbasic? The full steps for a minor feature would be extremely helpful.

Perhaps one of you people who state that it is easy could offer an iphone/ipod touch extension library for sale for the rest of us.

I have read of many people saying that yes its easy and yes I have done it etc but then never release the result.

I for one would be willing to pay for these enhancements to GLBasic as I am sure many others would.

To reiterate, failing a full library for full support can someone please do a tutorial from beginning to end on how to create a simple feature not currently supported in glbasic using both xcode and GlBasic.

Thank you and I hope nobody takes this as a direct dig but rather as a friendly reminder that not everyone has the skill sets that others appear to have. Oh and remember glbasic is explicitly marketed for people like us... Not the proficient c++ coder etc.

Cheers
