Title: New ZX Machine
Post by: MrPlow on 2017-Feb-28
Guys,

I heard through the grapevine that the Kick starter for the ZX Spectrum Next is coming later this week...
I for one will be snapping it up as it looks like a stunning machine.

This looks great but I must resist... too many gadgets, not enough space  :'(

Anyways I'm still stuck in Indie-go-go limbo with the Vega+, which was due for delivery on September of last year. Which has kinda put me off kick-starter type campaigns. It's been released then cancelled nearly every month since.

See..

sometimes its goes wrong with kikstarter projects. That Spectrum machine was one of them, howover im did saw two similar projects anyway here. Recently im say a Amiga kind project too as well, which looks quite cool.

Howover im did my self backed various projects....

One of them was also quite very delayed, but here was due the various sthreat goals (which also take time to compose and remix those too, which is why). The end result is how over very great and only missing the last cd (its was The Last Ninja project by Matt Gray from the original composer, named Reformation), which should been finished in about a month.

Pretty great project. I have a good level of confidence on the authors and have been following it for a while.
I might get one later down the road.

The difference between the V+ and this, is that the SpecNext project is by indies / Entrepreneurs and a younger generation of speccy fans.

The V+ was treated like a corp. and seemed a messy setup from the start - I still believe the V+ guys will get there - they just made a lot of gaffs along the way (how very 1980s!). I too backed V+ but am not passing judgement., just look forward to both machines.

:)

If you want the same (because it's a FPGA) take a look to ZX-UNO, I think more cheaper and do the same... more little and you can install C64, and a lot of 80-90 consoles.
This devices are nice, but I think for the price is better buy a real machine (always the seller don't think he had gold in her hands).

Another point is use emulators, I have some machines and always is better use the emulator.

Yep, the vega+ is in full drama+ right now, but I didnĀ“t like it in the first place.
The Next is doing quite fine, soon to hit kickstarter.
There has been some new sprite videos and so on on their FB page, quite nice stuff.

I wonder when people are going to start betting on KS projects as they do with horses...:D

howover Amigkrog got released and the final Reformation CD 5 is soon out by Matt Gray (The Last Ninja 2). So Kickstarters is not all awful, but sometimes thing also goes wrong. Im also have backed Psychonauts 2.....

So yes im did backed some projects as well.

Ouya was also a Kickstarter project, but here im purchased the final version when its came out and did not backed it before that.
