Windows 8 is great. At least I think it's the best OS M$ ever made.

Of course GLBasic works on Windows 8, my question was more if there ever be will a Windows Phone 8 target. ;)

Do you have any ETA on the 3d lib? I don't mind the costs. :D Will it be ready this year?

Well I tend to disagree. I have 3 apps in the markets which are available for WP7, Android and iPhone and I can tell you that WP7 already rocks even though they have far less market share I have almost half of the sales there I have on Android and iPhone. What really helps there is that there aren't soo many apps so you can be found much easier.

I know that WP7 is a no go for GLBasic as it uses XNA and C# but WP8 is a total different horse with its C++ base.

Danke Leute,

folgendes hab ich vor: Ich habe ein Schiff und eine Kamera. Die Kamera will ich um dieses Schiff in der Außenansicht frei drehen können, so dass ich das Schiff von links/rechts aber auch oben/unten anschauen kann.

Dazu habe ich ein Pivot, welches das Schiff als Parent hat. Die Kamera wiederum hat als Parent den Pivot. Wenn ich also diesen Pivot drehe, rotiert auch meine Kamera mit, schön.

Nur links/rechts (also Y-Achse) ist simpel, klar. Wenn ich jetzt aber auch die X-Achse dazunehme, fängt er das rollen an, je nach Y-Winkel. - auch klar...

Bei Blitz3d gab's da dieses PointEntity, wo ich als dritten Wert den Rollwinkel angeben konnte. Wenn der auf 0 war (default), dann ging's.

Danke, nein, diesen Flipover meine ich nicht. Wenn man um 2 Achsen rotiert, muss die Kamera zwangsläufig "rollen". Genau das will ich aber nicht.

Ja natürlich ist das logisch, hab ich doch geschrieben. Insofern ist das keine Lösung. Werde ich wohl meine angestaubten Mathe-Kenntnisse ausbuddeln müssen. Ein zweiter Pivot hilft da überhaupt nicht.
