I've moved into Linux and open source softwares, however I think such encryption may bring some level of data secure, but such method may also made into crimes such as hiding crime data/plan....

Yup, I want one!

Seems it's reasonably priced and I have a new TV to play with....

XBox One looks like a Video Tape Player..... is it a joke or MS's given up the concept of "Design"?

It's many years since I've not playing any AAA game, well, my kids may not like the shape of XBOne, this Xmas I'm gonna give them some sport goods and being outside, away from tech products.

I have a Droid 3 on Android 2.3.6, it DO have the problem that some apps have issues to be not full screen as expected.

Actually you can:

Plug an micro-HDMI to your Android phone (if available)
Connect the Phone and Bluethooth Gamepad.
Play some games/emus that support custom button configuration.

If OUYA can't react quickly, they can't get market share.

Jz4770 / Vivante GC860 is capable of Android 2.x to 4.0, why not make it an android console?

That may sell better than using Dingux.

With such price. I think I'll take a second-handed Xperia PLAY or and use half price to buy an Android Game Console.....
#53
Yeah I have read that thread about the consoles.
http://www.glbasic.com/forum/index.php?topic=7393.0

I used to have a Dingoo, but it's dead, and a Wiz, which was rarely used.

And I have Xperia PLAY, I'd rather hope PLAY has sequel if possible.

Those android consoles looks like same chipset in different plastic cases, the benefit is, they're relatively cheap for being a little toy.

The Yinlip YDP-G16 is an Android Game Console should come around April 2012...

Look this video...

http://product.pchome.net/digital_mp4_yinlips_ydpg16/pic_353462_1838_1.html

From the video it seems not bad for a China made ones,
We have a thread about such device not along ago, but this one has
*Not-so-clone looking, although still based on PSP
*A 4.3 inch display
*Boxchip A10 CPU
*L/R shoulder buttons

Personally I want one, at least for an emulator device or give it to kids.

It still has no L2/R2 buttons, which is bad for PSX emulation....

Before Xperia PLAY 2 appear(which might be NEVER), this should be good if anyone missed Xperia PLAY, which has been discontinued.

I have the YP-G70 apd by Sumsung.

I must say, it's pretty powerful except it has no 3G, and the battery lasts VERY long, a very cost-effective Android Device.

The name of this device is Samsung Galaxy S Wi-Fi 5.0, and I msut say it very good for most purpose.

Samsung should give up BADA to use WebOS instead....

Technically the 3150 models can use GLDirect to get at least OGL 1.5 support without sacrificing too much performance on any supported Windows OS, you can ship GLDirect(opensourced version) inside your game directory without installation.

As to Linux, I can't find info nor I have intension to use it yet.

I'm using GLBasic on my Eee PC (1002HA), and it works reasonably well, after test some other netbooks, I think it's worth post some info here:

First, this is the Intel Chipsets info on Wiki:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Intel_GMA

Many Eee PC family use Mobile Intel 945 Express, it's OpenGL support is implemented upto 1.4. most GLBasic commands are working, at least shouldn't affect normal using or playing compiled games, the netbook are hardware limited, but still does the job.

Since Intel implements OpenGL on those cards (seems to somehow) properly during late 2008, drivers or Eee PC purchases after 2009 should have that, if not you should consider find the new driver and install it.

Those who can't still have proper OpenGL support may take a look at GLDirect, it's freeware now and even have opensource version, which can translate DX to OpenGL upto 1.5.

Just a few cents, if you have better info, please share, thanks!

I'll buy a digital version for sure, I don't like a printed version since I have an Eee PC as extra reading tool, how much a digital version will cost?
