Haha great!  You bought a 3d printer or build your own ?

Moru

There are a few online 3D printing companies you can order prints from too :-)

MrTAToad

Shame it's not in colour!

Moru

This company can do it in coloured sandstone :-)

People are doing real nice stuff there in all sorts of materials.

mentalthink

Yep!!! the people says all we have a 3d printer in the future in home (really I don't sure about this)... The good point it's now the tecnology can do this with metals and soft like Blender have a good exporter for make pieces... I think a good model for make money can be the cases of old computers , or make cool cases for Rpy and this kind of devices.

Funky (cold medina)!!
Not everyone will have it. It will probably be similar to paper. Some peole need it others can go by using the corner services.

Now i feel like printing one in paper and fold and glue it ;)

Moru

And printing in metal is not always a one-step process, some materials are done more traditional, first print a wax form, then into sand and then pour the metal into it :-)

Hey.  <3 :-[

It's just a bit of fun. So any requests or suggestion for model generation (.ddd export)?

For example:

Ah , i see you know Mathias Site also ! Maybe i buildt his Pantorouter some Dax , because it looks and work great.

i think his woodgears are working better as 3d printed ones?
btw: have you use Aceton to soften the Surface? i works fine.
what printer you bought/ buildt? i like the Rostock3d .

Ian Price

That's cool :)

How big is the logo (it's impossible to tell scale by that image) and how long did it take to print?
I came. I saw. I played.

The Printrbot Simple Makers Kit took me a whole day to put together from opening to print perfectly. I'd be happy to take a suggestion/test to print something else.
The GLBasic logo base is 92mm in length and took 25 minutes to print. I don't think it printed well because of the font and small size.  :noggin: Here's the timelapse:

O my :O, here I thought all British had a Sherlock Holmes in its blood!
The specular highlights dictates the model must be small, how small?
About 10 cm if compared to the ghost letters on the background, as it seems to be a printed a4 or letter standard page.

So, if you are still under warranty... I´d like a replacement on this Ian. :D :D :D

Buildt big 7 segment frames !
