Hmm have you tried paint.net?
I like it because it does png transparencies(which i started testing in the 3d particle engine).
I was watching a bunch of videos based on paint.net on youtube...its really cool for free.

What advantage over paint.net does html5 pixelart thingy have?
Bing ChatGpt is pretty smart :O

It looks like it would be handy for animations, at the bottom you can add frames and play back animation
at different speeds.

Had a look it's quite basic, but nicely laid out. Couldn't see a SAVE option though just an upload to server???

I guess you upload to server and there you have a download link in a down-arrow form.

I take this one to be more of an animation tool, you get onion skin there, I´m not sure you have this support on paint, or anything animationwise there.

here are some main features:

-The usual tools (pencil, eraser, flood fill, etc)
-Selections which can also be used as a mask
-Editable palettes, which can also contain semi-transparent colours
-Onion skin
-A unique "skeleton mode" with which one can quickly design motions
-Several high level palettes included including Dawnbringer's 16 color super palette.

The skeleton mode can be very usefull, the  Dawnbringer's 16 color palette is, in my opinion, the best palette there is in this world don´t forget.
The current beta is 64x64 only but should you need more, head here:

beware it is the flying dutch!

I will knock out a test animation later and upload here so can take a close look on these features...

Ok bigsofty, don´t forget they have other tools too here:

Could use these:

-The skeleton could deform the image, would be a nice on off feature as currently it works only as a movement tester background thing, usefull but could be more.
-Extra layers and a buffer for sprites. A color layer maybe too?
-bit more control over the onion skin, like show 2 or 3 frames.

here it is:

Nice animation erico :)
I came. I saw. I played.

haha it is too cheesy :-[

Program is great for traditional pixel artists, it has just about the right set of tools.
Unfortunantly, for me, it has to have more modern tools to be usefull.
