When I run a programme I get the following error message

Please update your GFX adapter's driver
so it can render openGL by hardware.

My graphics card is an Nvidia FX5900 Ultra and it has the latest drivers installed. Why am I getting this message?

Download the glview tool from http://www.realtech-vr.com/glview/download.html and post the output here. If you really have the latest drivers (from nvidia.com - not from microsoft) there's a problem ahead... :/

You must get a driver from nvidia. Or: Try the "Omega Drivers" (google for it) they are mostly more optimized.

Hi Gernot.Re-installing the Nvidia drivers cured the problem. It seems that another programme I was using(Ethos Basic)was srewing up my display settings.
